Martyn Bedford is the internationally renowned, award-winning author of five novels and a short-story collection for adults and three novels for young adults. His debut, Acts of Revision, won the national Yorkshire Post Best First Work Award and his first YA novel, Flip, won four regional prizes and was shortlisted for the prestigious Costa Book Awards.

Martyn has taught creative writing in universities and in the community since 2001 and has been a senior lecturer at Leeds Trinity University since 2009. He teaches on the English & Creative Writing BA and is Programme Leader for the MA in Creative Writing.
