Jason Allen-Paisant
Poet and scholar Jason Allen-Paisant is reshaping how we understand identity, land and Afro-Diasporic futures. Winner of the T.S. Eliot and Forward Prizes for Self-Portrait as Othello, his new non-fiction work The Possibility of Tenderness is part memoir, part people’s history, part beautiful nature writing.
Tracing his journey from rural Jamaica all the way to Oxford, and now Leeds, Jason explores belonging, land and alternative ways of living—with lyricism and wisdom.
