Playdough

Playdough

Playdough is a timeless classic. No amount of technological progression will ever eradicate our seemingly primal desire to squash, squeeze, roll and mould the magical stuff. Our mountain of playdough will keep tiny hands and minds occupied for hours on end!

Soft Play

Soft Play

You know what you're going to get with a soft play area: fun slides, cubes, and other shapes for the little ones to spend hours of fun playing on. Sometimes we wonder if we should give up with the bands and comedy and simply host a giant soft play area festival!

Sand Pit

Sand Pit

Tonnes and tonnes of play sand undercover and exclusively reserved for our younger audience. Build a monster, a castle, or anything else the sand and your imagination will allow. One toddler was once so excited their sandcastle stood up unaided that they did an impromptu victory dance - awesome! We're extremely pro-impromptu victory dances at Deer Shed.

Pig Sty

Pig Sty

Maybe we should come up with a slightly less offensive name for this area, designed for our littlest friends who just want to go a bit wild. We fill a small area with loads of hay, toys and geed up kids, and simply watch the magic happen. We won’t let them wallow in any mud, but even kids need to blow off some steam sometimes.

Good Times and Bath Times

Good Times and Bath Times

We know bath time in pre-schooler households can often be on the more challenging end of parenting. We hope to alleviate some of that stress by having a big baby bath time. Let your baby socialise with others as they wiggle and jiggle their way to squeaky clean, all thanks to the NCT and a bulk buy of garden trugs.

Microwaves

Microwaves

Yes, Deer Shed hosts some of the best street food vendors mankind has ever tasted but try giving a korma from Ghandi’s Flip-Flop or a steak flatbread from Allotment Catering to a 1-year old – not ideal! We will offer an abundance of microwaves so you can keep the tots well fed with food that suits them best.

Bottle Sterilisation

Bottle Sterilisation

As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to have peace of mind when feeding your baby. That’s why we provide bottle sterilising facilities: to ensure no bugs can make their way into any tummies.

Highchairs

Highchairs

Babies can be just a little bit demanding, right? Often if they're not sat in their highchair thrones, they’ll kick up a fuss or make more of a mess. Worry not: babies are treated like royalty at the Deer Shed Festival and no little prince or princess that wants one will be without a highchair!

Changing Area

Changing Area

Picture the scene: you and the family are at the Main Stage, all moving and shaking to Baxter Dury, when suddenly an unsavoury smell emanates from the little one's nappy. Luckily, our changing area is always just around the corner and you'll likely be back in time to hear Miami – how's that for a crowd pleaser?

Nappies

Nappies

If you’re bringing a toddler to Baldersby Park this July, it would be a total nightmare realising you'd left the nappies in the car or – far worse – at home! These things happen, but Deer Shed has you and your baby’s backs covered (literally) with biodegradable, eco-friendly nappies on sale in both the campsite and arena.

Mobile Sling Hire

Mobile Sling Hire

There's so much on offer at Deer Shed that you might have to undertake a bit of light walking. Of course, this can quite quickly become heavy walking if you have your hands full with one or more children. Parents and carers can therefore hire mobile slings from the NCT to make your festival experience as easy on the arms and legs as possible.

Ear Defenders

Ear Defenders

Ever left a loud gig or party with an incessant ringing in your ears? You might recover in a day or two if you’re lucky, but little ears are far more fragile. Our high-fidelity PA speakers produce some glorious sounds, but some might upset those little lugholes. If the kids don’t already have ear protection, make sure you pick up a pair of ear defenders from our merchandise tent to keep those high frequencies at bay.
