Kathryn Penny is a creative producer and educator who is becoming a regular host in the Buckendz Tent, bringing exciting new writers to Deer Shed Festival through a partnership with Leeds Trinity University. Formerly Director of the Widescreen Weekend Film Festival and Yorkshire Games Festival, Kathryn has interviewed countless artists, filmmakers and creatives about their work and careers.

Known for her warm, thoughtful interviewing style, she creates engaging and entertaining conversations for audiences. As a proud mum to a whippet, Kathryn is especially excited to discuss Louise’s book with festival-goers this year and share another brilliant literary event at Deer Shed Festival.
