Brògeal play folk-punk the way it should be played: loud, breathless, elbow-to-elbow and absolutely overflowing with heart. The young Falkirk outfit have been building a fearsome reputation for turning any room — pub, club, barn, festival tent — into a heaving, roaring, pint-spilling party. Fiddle, guitar, banjo, big choruses, bigger energy… it’s all there, and delivered with the kind of grin that says they’re having as much fun as you are.
There’s a rawness to their sound that feels wonderfully unpolished, but underneath it sits real songwriting craft — those hooks stick, those melodies soar, and those stories (half ancient, half modern chaos) land with proper emotional punch. It’s noise, it’s tradition, it’s rebellion, it’s community.
Brògeal are a total release valve, especially live: sweaty, joyful, irresistible. Expect dancing, shouting, and at least one moment where you catch yourself hugging a stranger.
